Jayne McKenzie
At Somerset Health and Fitness, our mission is to create a welcoming and inclusive space where the community can achieve their physical, mental, and emotional health goals.
As the only community-focused gym in Kilcoy and Toogoolawah, we offer personalised fitness programs for all ages, aiming to set a high standard of service.
With affordable access, state-of-the-art facilities, and wellness workshops, we strive to be a recognized leader in community health, making fitness accessible and motivating for everyone.
Meet Our Trainers

Kate Hudson
Lifeguard/Administration
Kate joined us in 2024 as a junior lifeguard.
She is studying at Toogoolawah State High School.
Kate will also be doing office admin with us.

Charlie Humphrey
Lifeguard
Charlie joined us as a lifeguard in 2024.
He is also our school based trainee doing his Cert III in Fitness.
Charlie is studying at Toogoolawah State High School.

David Weller
Lifeguard
David joined us in 2024 - he mentioned he was in retirement so we grabbed him!
David is now our qualified lifeguard. He has a wealth of maintenance knowledge, and is keen to study more in our learn to swim program.

Grace
Trainee Squad Coach
Grace joined us in 2024, bringing a wealth of experience relating to squad training.
Grace is a young sports woman who is highly achieving in triathlons.
Grace is assistant squad coach and completed her foundation squad coach qualifications in October 2024.
Grace is studying at Toogoolawah State High School.

Trish
Instructor, Personal Trainer and Lifeguard
Trish has been with us since 2014.
Trish is a fully qualified gym instructor and personal trainer with lots of add-on qualifications in Cycle Plus, Metafit, coaching, Strength and Conditioning and many more including Diploma in Dietetics and Nutrition.
Trish teaches our Movement to Music at Kilcoy and also Alexandra Hall at Toogoolawah.
Trish is also a fully qualified lifeguard.

Emma Knight
Instructor/Lifeguard
Emma joined us in 2024.
Emma is doing her degree in High Performance Sports.

Peggy McMillan
Instructor/Administration
Peggy has a massive background with Queensland Health.
She is a qualified fitness instructor and Cycle teacher.
She loves taking Tabata classes..
Peggy doubles up as Office Admin as needed.

Instructor/Nutrition Coach
Lucy joined us in 2024, bringing a wealth of ‘self love’ to our buildings.
Lucy is a qualified nutrition coach and specialises in wellness workshops. She also doubles up in office admin.

Instructor/Personal Trainer
Therese joined us in 2016 as a gym instructor and personal trainer.
Therese has a background in managing fitness centres.
She has taken many add-on qualifications in Pilates, Cycle Plus and fitness based qualifications.

Yoga Teacher
She bring vast experience and qualifications with her.
She teaches a very calming grounding yoga class which is very popular.

Nichole
Instructor/Lifeguard
Nichole started with us in 2023 as a lifeguard.
She then went on to study learn to swim, babies and toddlers, disability access (theory) and now she is completing her Cert III in Fitness

Tim Mason
Account and Consultancy Agent
Tim has been with our company accountant since commencing our contracts with Somerset Regional Council.
He guides us through all aspect of Quickbooks but specialises in many other programs.
He has processes our payrolls from start to finish and completes all our necessary reporting requirements.
