Conditions of Entry to the Pool season 2025-2026
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY TOOGOOLAWAH SWIMMING POOL
•Children aged 0 to 5 years and non-swimmers – must be within arm’s reach of a parent or guardian.
This means that if your child is entering the water, the parent or supervisor must be within arm’s reach – meaning you need to be in the water with your child. The supervision ratio is 1 Adult: 2 Children.
•Children aged 6 to 10 years – must be closely and actively supervised by a parent or guardian.
This means parents and guardians must be prepared to enter the water, remain close to their child at all times, maintain constant visual contact and remain distraction-free.
•Children aged 11 to 12 years – always keep an eye on your child regardless of the activity they may be doing.
This means whether your child is engaged in swimming lessons, playing on the pool inflatable, or recreational swimming, you should always maintain visual contact to ensure they do not get into trouble in the water. The parent or guardian must maintain visual contact and remain distraction-free.
•Children aged 13+ years – may enter the aquatic facility unsupervised.
Be aware of distractions: Take steps to minimise distractions – such as mobile phones or chatting to other parents – to avoid lapses in supervision.
Be responsible: All guardians must be 18 years and above.
Be prepared: Ensure you have everything you need before getting into the water, such as towels and dry clothes.

Intensive School Holiday Bookings are open - Term 1 2026 open mid January
Our learn to swim program starts from babies all the way through to squad level. Our Learn to Swim program is $150 (9 weeks).
We encourage parents/caregivers to start the little ones with classes at 6 months old.
At 6 months we are working at water familiarisation in the fun, safe environment - an adult has to be in the water at all times.
The next stage is our toddlers - usually 1 years to 3 years old. These classes are fun, interactive and the child is starting to progress with their confidence and ability in the water.
Ask us about our family water play group for babies and pre-school.
After this stage we have GUPPIES, TURTLES, SEA HORSES AND DOLPHINS. Then MINI SQUAD and the SQUAD.
Each of these groups has a level we work towards. It is not age related, but ability rated.
Children then work in small groups with a qualified swim teacher.
All lessons are 30 minutes in duration.
Most lessons are after school. Private lessons are offered on request. Lessons are in school term time and generally go for 9 weeks.
ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR FREE LESSONS?
These are for 4 years and under and offered by the Government Swim Start vouchers.

Squad Program has Intensive starting 6th January and then Term 1
SQUAD TERM 1 2026
These are usually 2 afternoons per week and 2 early morning per week during school term. Tuesday and Thursday PM 3.30pm and Monday and Wednesday AM 7am
Children can come to all sessions but they do need to be assessed at a suitable swimming level.
We divide the squad into mini level and squad level.
Both groups are working with qualified coaches to improve their swimming techniques, speed, endurance.
Great emphasis is placed on alignment, breathing, connection with the water and driving forward.
Various drills are performed in sessions with coaches working on stroke correction.
Mini squad can perform freestyle and back stroke but working on breast stroke and butterfly.
Squad can perform all strokes.
Is your child interested? We do a FREE assessment prior to term commencing.
